Things to do - Phillip Island & Gippsland


Bushwalking
The Cape Woolamai walk on Phillip Island offers magnificent views of Phillip Island and the ocean. The sandy track winds along rugged clifftops. The round trip takes approximately 3.5 hours and starts and ends at the Cape Woolamai Surf Lifesaving Club Carpark.

Another great walk is the George Bass Coastal Walk which winds along the cliffs towards Kilcunda. The walk takes approximately 2 hours one way, and begins at the Punchbowl Carpark.

The Great Southern Rail Trail extending 8 kilometres through South Gippsland Countryside from Leongatha to Koonwarra is a scenic route for cyclists and bush walkers alike.

The Lyrebird Forest Walk starts 2.8 km north of the township of Mirboo North and winds through the Strzelecki State Forest.

Golf
For a game of Golf, visit Leongatha Golf Course (Ph: 5662 3314), an 18 hole course located on Inverloch- Koonwarra Road in Leongatha South.

The Nobbies Centre
Formally Seal Rocks Sea Life Centre, Phillip Island, watch Australia's largest fur seal colony from the scenic boardwalks. The Centre is an educational experience. Learn about seals and early explorers.

Phillip Island Penguin Parade
Visit the world famous Penguins.
