Bushwalking The Warburton Rail Trail is a scenic route for both bush walkers and bike riders alike. At thirty-eight kilometres long, however, you may only wish to walk the final stretch which ends in Warburton. The Yarra Ranges National Park offers a wonderful walk through ancient myrtle beech and mountain ash trees. The walk begins at a picnic site along Lady Talbot Drive, a short drive from Marysville. The scenery as you drive along the mountain road is simply stunning, with towering mountain ash trees, ferns and eucalypts. The Lady Talbot Forest Drive is also magical. Drive through magnificent rainforest, stop for a picnic, or visit one of the cascading waterfalls along the way: Beech Forest Cascades or Phantom Keppel Falls. While in Marysville, a must is Steavenson Falls accessed via Falls Road. Visit the Falls during the day or in the evening - the falls are flood lit at night. Healesville Sanctuary Visit the renown wildlife sanctuary in Healesville and wander through bushland to encounter some wonderful wildlife.
